15th Native Diabetes Prevention Conference
January 27-30, 2013 Grace Inn - Phoenix, AZ Overview
The American Indian Institute at the University of Oklahoma is pleased to announce the fifteenth annual Native Diabetes Prevention Conference to be held January 27-30, 2013, at the Grace Inn in Phoenix, AZ. The ongoing theme of this conference is "Protecting the Generations: A Lifespan Approach to Preventing Diabetes." The University of Oklahoma will provide 2.0 CEUs or 20 contact hours to any participants seeking continuing education.
This conference brings together tribal members from American Indian, Alaska Native, and Canadian First Nations communities, individuals representing academia, tribal health systems, public health, diabetes educators, community health representatives, and more. General sessions, workshops, and wellness activities will focus on diabetes prevention using a blend of traditional and contemporary strategies. Areas of focus include: diabetes prevention programs, diabetes prevention research, and wellness for diabetes prevention and self-management.

Payment
Payment must be received by January 21, 2013, or paid on-site. Purchase orders accepted only if payment will be made within 30 days of the conference.
Cancellation Policy
We greatly appreciate your interest in participating, but we also understand times when you may need to cancel your registration. In order to provide a quality experience for all participants, we follow a strict cancellation policy:

To avoid cancellation fees, please notify the OUTREACH registration office (by email, fax, or mail) by January 4, 2013.

A cancellation fee of $200 will be charged to all cancellations received (by email, fax, or mail) between January 5 - 25, 2013.

Any cancellation after January 25, 2013 is not eligible for a refund.

Registered 'No Shows' will be charged $200.
