12th Native Women & Men's Wellness Conference

About the Conference

The American Indian Institute at the University of Oklahoma is pleased to announce the twelfth annual Native Women & Men's Wellness Conference to be held March 17-20, 2013, at the Town & Country in San Diego, CA. Inspired by the artwork of Dana Tiger, this year’s conference theme is “In Balance” with a focus on restoring the mind, body, and spirit. The University of Oklahoma will provide 2.8 CEUs or 28 contact hours to any participants seeking continuing education.

Who Should Attend

This conference brings together tribal members from American Indian, Alaska Native and Canadian First Nation communities, tribal health system and IHS employees, public health and social science researchers, social workers, counselors, psychologists, educators, traditional food educators, health promotion specialists, and wellness leaders. Conference tracks include behavioral health, health promotion and disease prevention, and wellness.

Regular - $350 (until March 1, 2013)
Late/Onsite - $450 (after March 1, 2013) 
Elder - $250 
Student with valid ID - $200
Presenter - $200
Exhibitors & Vendors - $350 (limited to 25 booths)

**Group Discounts Available**
5% discount for groups of 5 to 9 (regular and late fee schedule applies)
10% discount for groups of 10 or more (regular and late fee schedule applies)

Payment

Payment must be received by March 8, 2013, or paid on-site. Purchase orders accepted only if payment will be made within 30 days of the conference.

Cancellation Policy

We greatly appreciate your interest in participating, but we also understand times when you may need to cancel your registration. In order to provide a quality experience for all participants, we follow a strict cancellation policy:

  • On or before March 1, 2013: To avoid cancellation fees, please notify our OUTREACH Registration & Records office (by email, fax, or mail) by March 1, 2013.

  • Between March 2-15, 2013: A cancellation fee of $200 will be charged to all cancellations received (by email, fax, or mail) between March 2 - 15, 2013. 

  • After March 15, 2013: Any cancellation after March 15, 2013 is not eligible for a refund.

  • Registered 'no shows' will be charged $200.
